ISR Performance Billet Aluminum Solid Transmission Mount - Nissan 350z/G35 Z33

Just installed this solid transmission mount into my 2003 Nissan 350z Base and took it out for a test drive. Installation was relatively simple, mostly just removing / re-torquing bolts. The only issue that I encountered was that there was a "J" shaped sheet metal notch spot welded on the inside of the transmission cross member that the stock transmission mount would rest inside of. The ISR mount does not account for this notch / was not designed to be used with it, so I had to use a grinder to remove it (pretty simple fix).
After getting everything bolted back up I took it out to see how it feels. You can definitely tell that the transmission is more closely tied to the chassis, all of the sounds that the transmission makes are louder (especially if your Z is a completely stripped out drift car like mine) and you can physically feel the gears moving, but you can also tell that it is held in place more firmly. The gear shift does not rock side to side when the transmission is under high torque nearly as much as it did with the stock rubber mount, which is the effect that I was hoping for.

I give the ISR 350z Solid Transmission Mount a 5/5 because it does its job very well, with the only con being the slight cross member modification required during installation.
